About the Wedding.

This ultra feminine, romantic, and intimate wedding set in the stunning St. Matthew’s Church at Normanton in Rutland Water couldn’t have been more perfect for bride Gemma and groom Mark. As their wedding planners & stylists we got to know this lovely couple and their elegant, refined style. Mark’s love of vintage classic cars, and Gemma’s passion for interior design created a wonderful relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Of course we simply had to begin at Gemma & Mark’s gorgeous Georgian townhouse in Stamford - Lincolnshire, which captures Gemma’s chic and contemporary style as an interior designer. We fell in love with Gemma’s dress which she designed herself and had custom made, and those Giuseppe Zanoti velvet heels added a hint of blush and an unexpected twist to her look.

Gemma and Mark got married at the very unique and beautiful Grade II listed St. Matthew’s Church on the 27th July 2017. The setting was minimalist and intimate with candles lining the aisle, and stunning foliage pieces by Westwood Design throughout the Church. A stunning drape structure created by Nerissa Eve Weddings beautifully framed the back of the church.

A string quartet played Palladio whilst Mark waited for his bride to arrive. As Gemma walked down the aisle it was a very emotional moment for the wedding party, and for close friend and photographer Katie Julia who was behind the stunning feminine imagery. Songs were played in honour of Mark’s father and Gemma’s grandfather and the lovely, well-behaved Margot the dog even barked (which she never does!) during Gemma’s grandmother’s reading.

After the ceremony there was a very magical bridal moment outside which was captured by Katie Julia as Gemma’s veil and dress blew in the unusually blustery weather outside the Church.

Gemma and Mark arrived in a stylish vintage car to their elegant drinks reception and wedding breakfast, held at the glamorous & historic Hambleton Hall. Katie Julia captured luminous photographs of the romantic atmosphere as the happy couple and their families celebrated with the magical backdrop of Rutland water behind them.

Gemma and Mark celebrated their marriage on the 21st December 2017 with a Christmas blessing surrounded by their family and friends. The continuation of their wedding was held in a marquee at their newly renovated Georgian farmhouse in Ketton, Lincolnshire. The event was again styled and planned by us. It was elegant and modern with a touch of couture influence. We can’t wait to receive the images back from photographer Katie Julia for this too!
